Resort - Activities

There is an endless supply of adventure on tap in the natural playground that is the Humber Valley, and, Timberland Golf Resort’s central location in all this means that most activities and attractions are accessible directly from the resort, or are very close by. And by 'close', we really do mean just a 10 or 15-minute drive by car or ATV.

Although the area has four distinct seasons, most activities are split on a summer- and-winter basis, with summer pursuits being available May through October.

Summer

In the summer months the average daily high temperature at Timberland is a very pleasant 24 ºC – just about perfect for trying your hand at any of the local activities.

Winter

Winter sports are one of the key draws to the Humber Valley region. With direct access to skiing and snowmobile trails, you can really make the most of the abundant natural snowfall.

With around 16 feet of snowfall each year, it’s not hard to understand why Marble Mountain - a ski resort just 15 miles from Timberland Golf Resort - is often heard described as having ‘The best skiing east of The Rockies’.

Western Newfoundland has the advantage of a long season, with snow staying in the mountains often well into April.
